Class 1 autumn 1 Week 7

This week the children have been exploring patterns. The children have explored buildings with tessalating patterns, fabric patterns and natural objects with patterns such as shells.

After modelling patterns, the children used a variety of loose objects to create their own patterns.

In music, the children explored making patterns with instruments. They created their own graphic scores.

In Monster Phonics, reception learned c, k, ck and e. The preschool children have enjoyed exploring instrumental sounds. They played a game where they wore blindfolds and had to identify the instrument by it’s sound.

Today the children have really enjoyed Dinosaur Day! We have baked dinosaur biscuits, made clay fossils and have had fun playing with small world animals, doing puzzles and many more dinosaur themed activities. We hope your child has enjoyed their day and we hope you enjoy looking at our gallery.
