As we reach the end of the term, the classroom has been buzzing with excitement. We have managed to squeeze in a fantastic amount of learning, creating, and celebrating into just five days. From becoming chefs to historians, and finally party-goers, here is a look at what the children have been up to. We kicked off the week with our delicious Design and Technology project. The children have been working hard on the process of creating healthy pizzas. They started by researching different ingredients and understanding what makes a balanced meal. Next, they sketched out their designs, choosing their toppings carefully. Finally, came the making! The children did a wonderful job assembling their creations, but let’s be honest—the best part was definitely eating them at the end! On Wednesday, we swapped our chef hats for history books. It was a fascinating day of reflection and discovery. Growing Up: We discussed how we have changed since we were babies, looking at milestones and growth. Changes Over Time: We explored how homes, toys, and schools have looked different throughout history compared to today. In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome our special guests. It was wonderful to have an adult join each child in the classroom. Together, you helped the children create beautiful posters about a significant person in their family. Thank you to everyone who came in to make this session so meaningful; the children loved sharing their learning with you. By Thursday, the festive spirit was in full swing! We all sat down together for a delicious Christmas dinner, followed by a fantastic class party with plenty of games, music, and dancing. To wrap up the week on Friday, the children were allowed to bring in their favourite toys to share with their friends. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly a visit from a very special man in a red suit! Seeing the magical look on the children’s faces was the perfect end to a wonderful term. What a week it has been. The children have worked so hard and had so much fun. We wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy the break, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all in January.
