What a wonderful first week back Class 3 has had!. The classroom buzzed with excitement as we settled back in, reconnected with friends, and began exploring our new learning adventures. It’s been lovely to see so many smiling faces ready to jump into the term with curiosity and confidence.
In Mathematics, we have been continuing our topic: multiplication and division. After recapping factors, the children learnt how to multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1000 and learnt how to multiply three numbers together! In English, we have been introduced to our new text: Monster Slayer by Brian Patten. As well as creative vivid setting descriptions of the Great Hall, we wrote diaries detailing our fear of the monster named Grendel.
In science we were introduced to our new topic: electricity. We created circuits and investigated how to make a bulb light up. After, we drew the circuits that we had made including features such as the bulb, wires and cell. In PE the Year 3s were introduced to their new topic: gymnastics where we focused on 1 and 2 point balances, whereas the Year 4s had their first swimming lesson. During the week, we learnt about ‘The Gospel’. At the end of the week, the children learnt about the ‘Power of Good’ as we reflected on what we can do to manage bullying.
Well done Class 3! All achieved a well-deserved certificate for their positive attitude and dedication to upholding the school values!
