Class 1 spring 1 Week 2

Class 1 have continued to learn about the Artic and Antarctica. They have looked at artic animals and learned about how these animals survive in the cold. The reception children have compared old and modern transport, drawn pictures with accompanying words or sentences.

Preschool have enjoyed making Polar bears and playing with small world animals, creating an artic habitat. 
In Monster Phonics, the children have learned the sound ng, and cool blue oo.

Preschool have been practising finding pairs of rhyming words, singing nursery rhymes and making the letter i out of play dough.

In maths we have used the words heavy, light and balance whilst exploring weight.

In music the children played instruments to tell the story ‘Lost and found’

The children enjoyed making snowflakes by threading beads onto pipe cleaners.
