It is the penultimate week before half term and despite the weather, Class 3 have faced this week brimming with enthusiasm and determination.
At the beginning of the week, we recapped subordinate clauses so that we can use them in our upcoming non- chronological reports about Anglo Saxons. When we practically built sentences, the colours supported the children’s understanding of where the comma should be positioned and we had a rich discussion about the difference between a main clause and a subordinate clause. in maths, we have been learning about how to measure the perimeter of a shape.
During the week, Father Jeremy visited the class and shared information about his role and what his typical week looks like. In science, the children built a circuit and created their own switches using their knowledge of conductors and insulators. Towards the end of the week, we learnt numbers to 30 in French.
Well done Class 3 on a wonderful week!
