Class 1 summer 2 Week 2 2026
This week we have looked at the life cycle of the frog.
The children enjoyed watching a short video seeing frogs’s eggs hatching into tadpoles and then seeing them turn into froglets, then frogs.
The children did some great writing about this life cycle.
In maths we have focused on adding on using our tens frame and counters.
Please practise number bonds to 5.
In science we grouped materials into metal, plastic, glass, wood and fabric. The children really enjoyed hunting for different materials.
In RE the children talked about what is inside a church. We will be visiting All Saints soon to explore the inside.
In music the children enjoyed feeling the pulse. We sang number songs as well as listening to instruments to represent the life cycle of the frog.
In PSED, the children talked about sun-safety. Please remember to put sun cream on your child in the morning and send them to school with a sun hat.
