Another week has flown by and we have now begun all of our first term’s topics.

We have continued to further our understanding of place value in mathemeatics. When looking at writing numbers we have ensured to place the commas and hyphens in the correct places. In English, we have delved into our new book, Shadow Cage. We have greatly developed our application of parenthesis. Specifically, relative clauses.

With great enthusiasm and curiosity, class 4 pupils investigated separating materials using various equipment. This helped us discuss processes such as filtering, sifting and magnetism. In French, we began our new topic relating to art based on The Louvre in Paris.

Learning about population changes and distribution, our new geography topic has piqued many's interest. After learning the meaning of densely/sparsely population areas, we plotted global population growth over the last 500 years.
