What a fantastic and extraordinarily busy final week of term we have had! First and foremost, we want to give a huge shout-out to all of the children for their tremendous effort during assessment week. They have approached every task with incredible focus, maturity, and positivity, and we are so proud of how hard they worked to show off everything they have learned so far this term.

In English, the hard work continued as the children completed their Big Writes, taking inspiration from our wonderful trip to Cannock Chase. The classroom was buzzing with creative energy as everyone tried really hard to include all the key features of a recount—focusing on past tense, time connectives, and rich descriptive language to bring their memories of the trip to life on the page.

It might feel very early, but festive excitement has officially arrived in our classroom as we have started looking ahead to Christmas! The children were thrilled to receive their Nativity parts this week and have loved getting a sneak peek at the costumes we will be using. Alongside our early play rehearsals, we have also been getting creative by designing our very own Christmas cards. Keep an eye out for these next term, as you will have the opportunity to turn your child's artwork into real, printed cards and gifts to share with family and friends.

After such an active and productive half term, the children (and staff!) are certainly ready for a well-deserved rest. Thank you as always for your continued support at home. We hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing half term break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed for another exciting term ahead!
