It has been lovely to see all the children and hear about their holiday news! We hope our Richard Crosse families have all had a lovely half term holiday.

In math this week, the children have been learning about splitting pictures and numbers in half. They have been solving some number sentences and remembering how to use a number line to count on or back. Nursery have revisitied 2D shapes, learning the shape names and properties.

As part of our topic 'In the garden' the children have listened to the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk'. They have been sequencing story pictures and writing sentences to go with the pictures. The children have been learning about the creatures that can be found in the garden. They have really enjoyed playing in the outside play area, exploring some of the new equipment.

In music, the children have enjoyed using instruments to accompany this week's story. They have made digging, watering and growing sounds!

In RE, the children have explored 'What makes every person unique?'. They have made collage sheep and listened to the story of the lost sheep. The story explains how everyone is special and important.

In PE, the children have practised reacting to basic commands as well as maintaining balance whilst running and changing direction. They have practised obstacle races.

We hope that your children have enjoyed being back at school!
