Summer Term 2 - Week 1

Our first week back after half term has been brilliant! We have hit the ground running in all subjects. In English, we have learnt about the features needed to write a persuasive letter. We are going to write a letter to our favourite author persuading them to visit our school on a mission to promote the love of reading. In Maths, we have been focusing closely on telling the time to the nearest minute, understanding AM and PM time and learning how to tell 24-hour time. In RE, we have been learning about why Christians pilgrimage to Lourdes in France and it opened up a great class discussion. We’ve had fun in PE learning how to play rounders. This week, we have started our new art topic about modern architecture. In groups we created colourful mood boards displaying modern architecture, we have learnt how to draw 3D shapes using isometric paper and have used sketching techniques to draw a famous building in London called ‘The Gherkin’. Overall, a fantastic week! Keep up the hard work Class 3.
