After a 2 week holiday it straight back to work this week as we started a number of new topics. Our new text in English is The Unforgotten Coat by Frank Cottrell Boyce and it about two Mongolian refugees who end up in a school in Liverpool.  I think it’s fair to say we are hooked!  We will be carrying out a number of science experiments this term.  This week we were looking at straw rockets and investigating what makes them fly further.  It was great fun testing the rockets and it was Carter’s design that flew the greatest distance.   We had a visit from Tracey, our local PCSO.  She spoke to us about being good citizens and the importance of respect.  In history we have started looking at The Mayans. Our holiday homework was to research the topic and we have seen some excellent work.   In RE we looked at disciples and prophets and how they differed.
