Class 2 Summer 2 Week 1

This week we have taken full advantage of the beautiful sunshine and taken our Science lessons outside. We have been learning about Isaac Newton’s discovery of gravity and in groups have made marble runs to see which group could get their marble down the slowest. We had lots of fun! We have also learnt about Thomas Edison. The children were given the equipment to make a circuit and had to work out how to piece it together to make the bulb light. In English, we have started to look at The Tale of Peter Rabbit; we have made predictions, retold the story and completed a comprehension activity all about Beatrix Potter. Congratulations to all of the children who have been given certificates this week and to our 5X reader winner too!
