Autumn Term 1- Week 2

This week, in Class 3, we have started our first English topic learning how to write diaries and letters. Our focus book called ‘One Boy’s War’ is linked to our History topic which is World War 1. We have been practising writing sentences using adverbial phrases and have even written a diary entry in first person. In Maths, Year 3 have been learning the place value of 3-digit numbers and we used base ten equipment to aid our learning. Year 4 have been learning the place value of 4-digit numbers and how to round to the nearest 10 and 100. In RE, we explored the outside areas of our school to photograph all the wonderful things God has created for us. In History, we have discussed why we wear poppies in November and learnt why WW1 started. A fantastic week of learning Class 3, well done!
