The highlight of our week this week has been the pizza making. The children have been excited about it all week. They rolled out their own dough, put tomato sauce on the base, added cheese and other toppings that they chose. A big thank you to Mrs Pitchford for providing the dough and pizza boxes to take them home. In RE, we have thought about the presents we would like to have given Baby Jesus and the reasons why. We also learnt all about Remembrance Day and experienced the 2 minute silence first hand when we walked down to the War Memorial to take part in the Remembrance service. In Phonics, Year 1 have been learning different graphemes for the same sound, er, ir and ur, whilst Year 2 have been learning the long E sound spelt ey and the u sound spelt o. In Maths, Year 1 have finished their module on 'Addition and Subtraction within 10' and have been focusing on subtraction methods. Year 2 have been practising their subtraction skills and have found it quite tricky! We will keep working on it! Well done to our Stars of the Week and 5 times reader winner!
