Autumn Term 2 - Week 4

This week in Class 3, we have been learning all about ‘Cinquains’ in English. Cinquains are poems with a very specific 5-line structure. We have identified the features of cinquains, planned and written our own poems. In Maths, Year 3 have been dividing by 2, 5, 10 and 3. Year 4 have been learning how to multiply and divide by 1 and 0. We also recapped how to multiply and divide by 3. We have been busy in Science this week learning what materials are magnet and why. In groups, we investigated if all magnets have the same strength by making a racing track and using magnets to race the cars. In RE, we learnt about ‘Diwali – the festival of lights’. We explored the story of Rama and Sita, made diya lamps using clay, coloured in rangoli patterns and took part in a Diwali dancing workshop. Overall, it’s been a fantastic week full of learning! Well done Class 3.
