Summer 1 week 2

This week we have retold the story of The Great Dragon Rescue, in English. We have tried really hard to make our writing better than the authors, using lots of descriptive language and different sentence types. In Maths, Year 2 have been learning how to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes and recognise durations of time. This is something that they have found quite difficult, so if you could help them continue to practise this at home, we would be very grateful. Year 1 have finished their work on multiplication and division, looking at making and recognising equal groups. In our PE lesson, we have been learning a dance to Rock Around the Clock ready for a Jubilee  celebrations. We had lots of fun and learnt some interesting moves from the 1950s. We have loved that the sun has started to shine and that we have been able to do some of our learning outside. We can’t wait for our big Jubilee party next week!
