Image of Autumn Term 1 - Week 3

This week in Class 3, we have been writing sentences using rich vocabulary and similes to describe the Egyptian Cinderella. We are also learning how to use subordinate clauses to expand our sentences. In Maths, Year 3 have been finding and estimating numbers on a number line to 1000. Year 4 have been ordering and comparing numbers to 10,000. We have been using mathematical language such as less than, greater than, ascending and descending. In History, we learnt facts about Tutankhamun and how his tomb was discovered. It was very fascinating! In Science, we investigated how light travels using a cardboard box and a torch. We learnt that darkness is the absence of light and that light travels in straight lines. Overall, a fantastic week, well done Class 3!
