Class 2- Spring Term 1- Week 1

Happy New Year!
We were very excited to come back to school on Tuesday to tell all of our friends what we had been up to over the holidays. In English, we started a unit on poetry. We have looked at rhyme and onomatopoeia, identifying the features in the poem that we have been reading. We then used our knowledge to create and perform our own poems. In Geography, we have revised what the seven continents of the world are and located the UK on our maps. We have also focused upon the four countries of the United Kingdom, looking at the capital cities and their flags. it has been a busy first week back!
