This week, in Class 3, we have written our own monster tale stories. We choose a name for our hero warrior who would then defeat our monster. When writing our stories, we referred back to our plan and success criteria which had a range of writing features such as expanded noun phrases, inverted commas, conjunctions, paragraphs and past tense writing. In Maths, Year 4 have been dividing 2 and 3 digits by a 1-digit number whilst Year 3 have been multiplying 2 digit and 1-digit numbers. We found it helpful to use place value charts and part whole models. On Tuesday, the whole school enjoyed a trip to the Young Voices concert in Birmingham. We had a great day singing and dancing! On Thursday, we prepared and showcased how we learn spellings in Class 3 to the parents. In History, we learnt about the food that the Anglo-Saxons ate and then made honey shortbread which we all enjoyed very much! Overall, a very busy week. Enjoy a restful weekend.
