This week the Preschool children have been developing their fine motor skills by cutting and using keys to unlock padlocks. They have settled quickly into a routine and have been a joy to teach.
In Monster Phonics, reception children have been practising recognising i and n. They have used paint, sand and other mediums to form these letters.
In literacy the children have talked about who is in their family and where their family live. They watched a video showing types of housing in other parts of the world.
In maths the children have learnt about ‘sets’. They have been arranging objects into sets.
In science the children looked at stages of growth.
In PSED the children revisited the story ‘Flower Power’ and we discussed what humans and plants need to flourish. The children then planted seeds.
I was very proud of the way reception behaved and performed their poem in church!
The new climbing frame and cottage have arrived. The children are very excited and we hope that they are able to start using them soon!
Have a lovely weekend
