3 October 2024
It’s been an exciting week with the new climbing frame arriving! Luckily the sun came out so that the children could use it.
Mrs Compton has been providing new and interesting tuff tray activities for the children to explore.
Next week should see the arrival of a new writing table which is designed to more effectively support groups of children.
Children have created rainbows as part of God’s creation of all things colourful.
In PSED, the children have been learning about germs and the importance of washing their hands properly.
In music the children listened to Vivaldi’s autumn and then tried linking body sounds together to create a sequence.
In science children learnt about the 5 senses. They used blindfolds whilst exploring a freely bag. They wore blindfolds whilst tasting fruit. We watched a video about guide dogs for the blind. They played ‘keeper of the keys’.
In maths the children made up rules for grouping objects into sets.
The pea plants are growing really well and the children are excited to see their progress each day.
Next week, the children will be tidying up the garden for winter and hopefully planting some winter flowering pansies.
It was lovely to welcome so many reception parents to the Monster Phonics morning. The children loved sharing their morning with you.
Have a lovely weekend!
