Class 4 have enjoyed another eventful week full of learning. The main highlight for many was our trip to Boscobel House. The day involved touring the house and gardens led by Mrs Pachl and Mr Frame. In the afternoon, we looked at historical sources to help put together a dramatisation of the great escape by King Charles II who used the location as a safe retreat during 1651. The incredible performances highlighted how much information was retained by our children who seemed to have a brilliant time. A special thank you to all those who made the day possible, especially those who volunteered at Boscobel who had tremendous knowledge and were dressed in periodic clothing!
In Maths, we began our new unit on multiplication and division. Our first two lessons have been looking at multiples and common multiples. In English, we finished our 'big write' suspense stories and are looking forward to our new non-fiction unit.
Visualising incredible archuitecture, our class have sketched famous buildings by Gaudi and created their own buildings based on the wonderful landmarks built based on Norman Foster.
