Autumn Term 2 - Week 1

Welcome back Class 3! You have all settled in really well. 

This week, in Maths, we have been subtracting 3 digit and 4 digit numbers using the column method. We have worked hard to remember the rules when subtracting and when there needs to be an exchange. In English, we have been making predictions and inferences about our new focus book ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. We then practised writing in first person and past tense by writing a diary from the perspective of Phileas Fogg. In RE, we have been exploring the meaning of the Holy Trinity and expressed each part creatively through drawing. In Geography, we learnt about the 7 continents and researched facts about these large areas of land. Overall, a brilliant first week back. Well done Class 3!
