Happy New Year to you all! What a first week back it has been! We braved the snow and floods to return to school on Monday, and it was wonderful to see all the smiling faces again. The children have been buzzing with excitement, sharing stories of their Christmas holidays. We've heard tales of snowy adventures, festive feasts, and exciting presents! This term, we're embarking on a fascinating journey into the world of Geography, starting with the exciting topic of weather. We've been exploring the different seasons – spring, summer, autumn, and winter – and how the weather changes dramatically throughout the year. To help us understand weather patterns better, we've even created our own pictograms to show how the daily weather can vary within a single season. In English, we're currently exploring the captivating book "Man on the Moon". We've been busy making predictions about the story and practicing our descriptive writing skills. We've been using exciting adjectives and noun phrases to bring our writing to life! With the chilly weather outside, we're thrilled to be spending our PE lessons in the warm and welcoming school hall. This term, we'll be focusing on gymnastics and dance, developing our coordination, strength, and creativity. We're looking forward to a fantastic term filled with learning, laughter, and exciting adventures!
