Class 1 spring 1 Week 4

This week seems to have flown by! 
In maths the children have explored weight, using the vocabulary heavy and light and balance.

In Monster Phonics the reception children have learnt about cool blue oo

I have been very proud of their attempts to write sentences!

The preschool children have been playing a memory game with me in Monster Phonics. We will continue to play this game next week.

Our topic has been about space. The children have loved the enhanced provision and in particular playing in the space tent, dressing up as astronauts. In music we listened to Gustav Holst’s planet suite.

Next week they will be making a space sound scape.

We will continue with this topic next week, and the preschool children will be baking stars with Mrs Nilsen.
