Spring Term 1 - Week 3

This week in Class 3, we've been busy across all subjects!

In English, we've been honing our descriptive writing skills by crafting sentences that paint a vivid picture of a mythical minotaur. We've been focusing on incorporating subordinating conjunctions to add complexity to our sentences, using powerful verbs to bring our descriptions to life and ensuring all our writing is in the past tense.

Our math lessons this week have focused on multiplying three numbers. We've discovered that breaking down the problem into smaller, more manageable steps often leads to the most efficient solution. We also tackled some challenging correspondence problems, exploring different combinations to find the answers.

In our History lessons, we delved into the lives of Roman soldiers, learning about their daily routines and the challenges they faced. We also compared and contrasted Roman life with that of the Celts, exploring the unique characteristics of both cultures.

Finally, in PE, we've been practicing our balance skills. We started with two-point balances and gradually increased the difficulty by incorporating a variety of travel movements into our routines.

It's been a fantastic week of learning in Class 3! Well done to all!
