Class 3 has had a busy and exciting week! We've been channeling our inner storytellers, planning and writing our own Roman myths. We took inspiration from the tale of Oedipus and the Sphinx, carefully crafting our stories to be engaging and entertaining. Our writing focused on using the past tense and we've been working hard to include exciting features like subordinating conjunctions, fronted adverbials, expanded noun phrases, and inverted commas for speech.

In Maths, we've been tackling multiplication. Year 3 used part-whole models to help them multiply 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers, while Year 4 explored the short multiplication method.

Our Religious Education lesson was enriched by a visit from a member of our school community who practices the Sikh faith. We had prepared thoughtful questions beforehand, which helped us learn more about why Sikhs visit a gurdwara and what their worship involves.

We had another special visitor on Thursday! Great British athlete Joel Fearon led an inspiring PE session and answered the children's questions. His visit was a powerful reminder to be brave and strive for our goals. All in all, it's been a fantastic and memorable week!
