With great enthusiasm, our class have enjoyed another week full of learning. From creating model structures of our blood (including platelets, white and red blood cells, plasma and salt) to learning about the impact of fossil fuels, we have been extremely busy.

In our English lessons, we have moved onto Greek mythology and are exploring the tale of Heracles and his 12 labours. Within these lessons, we have been looking at the structure of myths and main themes that can be seen throughout. Exapnded noun phrases and determiners have been reviewed and used in our writing. In mathematics, we have been learning about BODMAS and the order of operations. This has enabled us to correctly answer questions where multiple operations are present.

On Thursday, we spent the morning doing Greenpower related DT. This included building a model chassis and designing bodywork for it in our teams. The Year 6's spent this time putting together several components of the Goblin Mk 2 carts. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a visit by Joel Fearon who is a Team GB athlete and completed physical activities at his instruction (see more at the related page on our School Gallery).
