Clayliens, Lengths, and Lovely Mums!

What a busy and brilliant week we’ve had in class! We’ve been working hard and having lots of fun, and we’re so excited to share all our news with you.

First up, our amazing Clayliens! Remember those alien creatures we created from clay? Well, this week we finally brought them to life! We carefully added eyes and put the finishing touches on them, making sure they were perfect for our art exhibition. We were so proud of our unique creations, and it was fantastic to see them all displayed together. We hope everyone who came to the exhibition on Tuesday night enjoyed seeing our colourful Clayliens as much as we enjoyed making them!

In Maths, we’ve been busy measuring and comparing. We’ve continued our work on length and height, using all sorts of things to help us understand. We’ve been using words like ‘longer’, ‘shorter’, ‘taller’, and ‘smaller’, and we’ve also been using symbols like ‘<’ and ‘>’ to compare different measurements. It’s been really interesting to see how different things compare in size!

Thursday was a very special day. We walked to church to perform our beautiful acrostic poem for our Mother’s Day service. The sun was shining, and it was lovely to see all the bright yellow daffodils popping up along the way. We put a lot of thought and care into our poem, and we hope all the mums who were there enjoyed it. We’ve also been busy making special Mother’s Day cards in class, and we hope all our mums love them! We really wanted to show them how much we appreciate everything they do.

We’re so proud of all the hard work everyone has put in this week. Have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all back in class next week!
