Spring Term 2- Week 7- Class 2

Class 2's Busy Bee Week!

Hello everyone! What a super busy week it's been in Class 2! We've been learning so many new things and having lots of fun along the way.

Moon Buggy Adventures!

First up this week was Design and Technology, and we turned into mini-engineers! We started by learning all about axles and chassis. It was really interesting to see how these important parts help things move and stay strong. Then came the exciting bit – we got to have a go at making our very own!

Once we had our axles and chassis sorted, we put our thinking caps on and designed and built our very own moon buggies! There was lots of teamwork, problem-solving, and plenty of giggles as we tried to make them roll. It was brilliant to see all the different designs and how creative everyone was. We definitely had a blast testing them out!

Musical Maestros on the Glockenspiel!

Next, it was time for some musical magic! In Music this week, we've been learning to play the glockenspiel. We focused on three notes: b, a, and g. It was a little tricky at first, but we soon got the hang of it.

Miss Derry taught us all about rhythm – the beat of the music, tempo – how fast or slow it goes, and dynamics – how loud or quiet to play. Miss Derry was so impressed with our playing and how well we listened to each other. We sounded fantastic!

Our Easter Visit to Church

On Thursday, we had a very special trip to church for our Easter service. It was lovely to join in with the songs and prayers. We also really enjoyed looking at all the amazing and colourful Easter bonnets that everyone had made. It was a wonderful way to think about the meaning of Easter.

Easter Card Creations!

And finally, today we've been getting crafty making our very own Easter cards! There's been lots of cutting, sticking, and colouring, and we've made some beautiful cards to take home.

Phew! What a busy week it's been! We've all worked so hard and learned so much. Now, we are all definitely looking forward to a well-deserved rest over the Easter holidays!
