Wow, what a brilliant week we've had in Class 2! The sun has been shining brightly, making everything feel extra happy and fun. We've been super busy learning lots of exciting things! In English, our imaginations have been running wild! We've been reading some amazing Tinga Tinga Tales and then we had a go at writing our very own! Our stories explained why monkey is red, and let me tell you, we came up with some very creative ideas! We made sure to use lots of fantastic adjectives to make our writing really interesting, and we were super careful to put our full stops and capital letters in the right places. It's amazing how a little bit of punctuation can make such a big difference! Then, in Maths, we've started a brand new adventure all about fractions! It might sound a bit tricky, but we're finding it really interesting. We've learned all about parts and wholes, and we can now recognise a half and even find a half of different things. We've also become super detectives at spotting a quarter! It's like sharing, but with numbers! We also said a big "Kwaheri" (that's Swahili for goodbye!) to our Safari topic all about Kenya. We've learned so much about this amazing country, from the animals that live there to the different ways people live. Ask us anything about what life would be like in Kenya! We even had a really interesting chat about what it might be like if we lived there. It made us think about how different things can be around the world. Phew! What a packed and fantastic week it's been. We're all feeling a little bit tired but very happy with all the amazing things we've learned and done. We can't wait to see what next week brings!
