What an incredibly busy and exciting week we have had in Class 3! In History, we stepped back in time to learn all about fascinating prehistoric beasts, researching incredible creatures like sabre-toothed tigers, woolly mammoths, and giant sloths. Our Maths lessons have been highly practical, with the children using pounds and pence to make, convert, and add different amounts of money. Everyone worked exceptionally hard to complete their summer reading, writing, and maths quizzes, and our Year 4s should be incredibly proud of finishing their Multiplication Tables Checks (MTCs). To give us a wonderful confidence boost during these quizzes, we were lucky enough to receive a special visit from our CEO and her adorable dog, Ralph! In Science, we investigated the essential conditions plants need to truly thrive, and we also celebrated World Ocean's Day by tuning into an amazing live lesson with Steve Backshall all about marine animals. During our Computing sessions, we compared handwritten invitations to those made using desktop publishing, concluding that digital tools are brilliant because they allow us to make changes much quicker. Finally, we rounded off our fantastic week by coming together for circle time, taking part in thoughtful activities to reflect on the importance of friendships and inclusion.
