Welcome to this week’s Class 3 blog, where we’ve had an action-packed week of learning across the curriculum! In history, we turned into real-life historians to explore how we know so much about Ancient Egypt by analysing artefacts, photos, diaries, and hieroglyphics. Continuing the theme, our Year 4s got hands-on in art to make their own papyrus after discovering how and why the Egyptians crafted it, which inspired our English work as we began writing stories based on Egyptian Cinderella, making great use of exciting expanded noun phrases and authentic Egyptian names. Over in maths, we mastered place value by rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, and 1000, and we rounded off the week in PE by pushing ourselves through health-related exercises to boost our cardiovascular endurance. What a fantastic week of hard work—well done, Class 3!
